Hi. I’m Nilam.
Many moons ago, I spent a few weeks at Huddersfield Library as a Writer-In-Residence. I am now writing a book based on my conversations with staff and patrons. You can read some extracts here.
This means that my novel has taken a back seat, but I will go back to it soon…
I also write a blog dedicated to my friends and family, and anyone else, who is feeling homesick for the UK.
I live in Yorkshire, and have lived and worked in the Philippines, Maldives and Sri Lanka for development organisations. I specialise in translating academic research into everyday language, which means that I write, I edit, I research (PhD qualified), and I train others and I give keynotes – it’s all on my website. Feel free to get in touch and happy reading!
